Daily a spiritual war is waged, and war is hard. The battles may seem endless. Our strength gives way, and our hearts break. As God's soldiers, we must get beyond the noise and meet with our commander in the quiet and secluded places. This podcast is such a place. Here, we retreat from the war. Here, we will find reassurance through His Word that there is hope and promises for our future. We can gain battle strategies for our lives, and assignments to win the Kingdom for His name's sake! What could possibly cause our kind, gentle, and loving Father in heaven to turn his face away from his people?

In chapters 1-10, God has been sending Jeremiah to warn, warn, and warn again, the people of Judah and Jerusalem. In essence, he is imploring them to change direction before their car inevitably crashes. Have they heeded these warnings? No.

We like to focus on the long-suffering nature of God, and are less inclined to think that there can be an end to his mercy. But here, in Jeremiah 11, God instructs his prophet to stop praying for the people. The verdict has been rendered.

Let’s be sure to respond to the warnings of the Lord while we live in a season where God is telling us there is still time to stop the car and turn around!

We will also discover that the heart of mankind without the Spirit of God is treacherous, and will reject God’s covenant to the point of killing the messenger!
